OpinionInn Panel Members:

When you agree to join our Survey Takers Panel as a "Member," you can participate in our surveys. To become a member, you'll need to fill out the registration form on our website or through links on our partners' websites. You can also register via our mobile app.

Non-Members of Our Influencers Panel:

If you're not a member of our Influencers Panel ("non-member") but take a survey with us and provide your personal data, we'll only retain certain personal data, including your email address, gender, age information, full or partial zip/postal code, machine ID, and IP address. We do this for a few specific reasons:

To contact you if you've won a prize or are eligible for an incentive. In such cases, we'll collect and keep this personal data as required by applicable laws or regulations, such as for tax purposes if applicable.

Ad-Effectiveness Campaigns & Look-A-Likes:

Purpose: To measure ad effectiveness and create "look-a-like" groups with common Demographic/Profile data or interests. This information helps clients improve advertising targeting and models. Your unique panelist ID (UID) may be shared with clients for ad- effectiveness campaigns.

Survey Responses: The responses collected from you through our surveys are typically shared with our clients. These responses are usually provided in anonymized and aggregated form, meaning they are grouped data and do not identify individuals. In cases where we provide pseudonymized results, they are on an individual basis but use unique identifiers like your assigned panelist ID. Your Identity data or Contact data is only shared with clients in specific surveys for research purposes, and this is done only with your consent, ensuring it complies with applicable laws and market research codes of practice.

Third Parties for Rewards: Occasionally, we engage third parties to issue rewards, such as checks, or handle reward delivery. We may also use third parties to provide services to us or our clients, such as data processing or analytics services, or to append additional data they have collected about you. We enter into contracts with them to ensure your data is secure and deleted in accordance with our data retention and destruction policies.

What other ways can you become a member of our panel?

Mobile Applications:

Automatic Data Collection: When you use our mobile app to become a Member, we automatically collect system and performance information about your device. This includes details about the type of device you use, your operating system version, device identifier, and hardware usage statistics such as CPU, RAM, storage, and app version. We use this information in accordance with our privacy notice.

Push Notifications: We may send you push notifications to inform you about surveys and invite you to participate in marketing research studies, all in line with our privacy notice. If you no longer wish to receive these notifications, you can disable them at the device level. To ensure you receive appropriate notifications, we may need to gather certain device information like the operating system and user identification.

SMS Service: We may offer an SMS service, either directly or through third parties, where you can receive messages on your mobile device via SMS. Standard data and messaging rates from your mobile service provider apply, and all charges are billed by and payable to your provider. You confirm that you own or are authorized to use the wireless device for message receipt and approve applicable charges. Personal data collected through this SMS Service may include your Identity data, Contact data, your provider's name, and message details. The use of this data complies with our privacy notice. If charges are applied to your wireless account, we may need to provide your carrier with your Identity data and Contact data. Surveys - Client Cookie Tracking, Including for Ad Effectiveness Campaigns: We may share your unique panellist ID (UID) with our clients. If you participate, your UID will be associated with this technical data. We have a random prize selection process for members and other survey participants as a reward for their participation in surveys, content, games, and other promotions. Winners are notified of their prizes through email or on our website. We also share the usernames of winners on our site, blogs, and newsletters.

Follow the appropriate directions to update or correct your personal data. Your information should be automatically updated in our database. If you are unable to make corrections yourself through the Account login, you can contact us for assistance.

We will respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Terminating Your Panel Membership:

To end your membership or request us to cease processing your personal data, you can:

  • Select the "Unsubscribe" tab.
